Min: Russia’s car, LCV output may grow 1.5% maximum in 2019

MOSCOW, Sep 3 (PRIME) -- Russia’s production of cars and light commercial vehicles (LCVs) is to remain flat on the year or grow by 1.5% maximum in 2019, Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov told reporters on Tuesday.

“The main task will be to keep the same volume as the previous year. Maybe, there will be a growth of 1.5% maximum,” he said.

The ministry has so far reserved a small amount of funds to support 2020 demand for cars, first of all through car loans and leasing, Manturov also said.

The ministry does not plan additional support measures for the sector until the end of 2019, he added.
